The world renowned Sockeye Salmon Run is also home to Chase. Annually, millions of salmon make their way up the South Thompson River into the Shuswap Lake system towards their final destination, the Adams River. It is a spectacular sight to see this awesome display of salmon making their way to their original place of origin. The river is a vibrant spectacle of crimson, as these majestic creatures fulfill their role in maintaining the equilibrium of our natural ecosystem. It is truly a sight to behold! Every 4 years is considered the big run, where up to 4 million salmon make their way past Chase towards the Adams River and their birth place.
